Welcome to Everyday Resilience Counselling
where your journey can begin.
As a dedicated qualified counsellor, I am committed to providing a confidential and safe space for individuals, families, children and young adults.
A Safe Holding Space For Your Child Whilst Waiting For Specialist Services
Too often, families spend valuable time waiting for support. I offer a safe, nurturing space where your child can start their journey towards emotional regulation, using positive behaviour strategies tailored to their needs.
With a gentle and non-restrictive approach, I help develop the skills to manage big emotions, build confidence, and prepare for appointments with psychologists, occupational therapists, or other professionals. Early support can make a real difference, giving your child a strong foundation for the future and being able to start the journey now for their wellbeing.
Everyday Resilience Counselling is here to support you to build resilience and solutions for emotional regulation, anxieties, relationship struggles and other wellbeing and mental health concerns.
To help you on your path I am delighted to offer the comforting presence of Elpi, my therapy dog who can assist in providing confidence and comfort.

About
Lydia is a member and registered counsellor through ACA, dip, couns, candidate, bachelor of counselling. I enjoy helping people grow their confidence and self-worth. Whilst I work with all individuals, I am passionate in helping children, teenagers and young adults understand their emotions, friendships, navigating anxiety, depression, or relationship strains.
School and social pressures can be a challenging place. By working closely with the child, parent/caregiver and teacher I can provide some comfort that their learning is more enjoyable and peaceful.
Some of my key focus areas are;
- Understanding their unmet need. What is causing the “behaviour”?
- Strengthening Executive Functions
- Emotional regulation and control
- Routines, understanding change
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Navigating healthy friendships and relationships
- ADHD, Autism and neurodivergent guidance
- Reframing of negative thoughts and building self-awareness
- Nurturing children’s wellbeing and healing through engaging play
- Safe holding space
Hi, I’m Elpi (It is like Kelpi but without the K) it means Hope.
I’m a gorgeous three year old therapy dog.
Some things I love are people and particularly children. I enjoy pats, making you happy and snuggling up to you. I can listen very quietly to your stories, worries and play games with you. Sometimes you can even teach me tricks.
I can help you with your fears and phobia’s. Sometimes the dentist and doctor let me come with you to get your teeth done and to get a needle. It is so much fun to do together.
I am very calm, and like giving you comfort and support. I can sit/lay on your knee or lay by your feet or I can sit with Lydia and just watch.
Whilst I am very good and quiet, sometimes I like to keep Lydia on her toes, I will steal her socks and run away with them. I have a great sense of humour and like to play.
I look forward to meeting you.
Lots of woofs Elpi xx
