The short-term (4-Day) Diploma Course “The Clinical Science of Biochemic Therapy (incorporating Facial Diagnostics)” presented by The Institute of Biochemic Medicine (Asia Pacific) in association with the German Association of Biochemistry founded in 1885 and in conjunction with the European Institute for Biochemistry of Dr Schuessler.
The 4-Day Diploma course is a non-clinical, short, but intensive course providing a deep and comprehensive knowledge of the Biochemic system of Medicine by Dr med W.H. Schuessler, founder of Biochemistry.
Course outline
- The fundamentals of Biochemistry accorded to Dr Schuessler
- Describes individually each of the 12 mineral salts
- Signs and symptoms of deficiencies (patient history)
- The use of and the art of Facial Diagnostics and Diagnostics generally
- Treatments – Prescriptions – Doses; and the important aspect of detecting why there are deficiencies of these essential elements. By use of these methods, applied to the proven science of Biochemic Therapy, seeks to teach the student how to treat the cause rather than the signs and symptoms of the disease.
- Physiological aspect of the elements in their Structural, Electrochemical, Metabolic, Catalytic and Miscellaneous roles
- The mineral salts as Cation and Anion pairs
- Absorption and Assimilation
- The value of the Arndt Schultz Law in considering the prescription.
- The role and effects of the mineral salts in the process of Osmosis, and how this can positively affect the absorption and assimilation of both Homoeopathic, Allopathic, and alternative therapeutic treatments.

The Basic Principles
The foundation of Biochemistry was laid more than a century ago by Rudolph Virchow, one of the foremost scientists of the day. He discovered that the human body is composed of an enormous number of tiny, living cells. Each cell is made up of an infinitesimal but perfectly balanced quantity of three classes of materials – water, organic substances and inorganic substances. Water and organic matter such as sugar, aluminous and fatty substances make up the greater portion of the body. The inorganic (mineral) elements, although present in much smaller quantities are the really vital elements. They are the active workers which utilize the inactive substances in building the millions of cells that the body is composed of. The life of these cells is of short duration – millions are constantly breaking down and new ones are just as rapidly being built up, providing there is a constant supply of the necessary material for this continuous rebuilding process.
Dr Schuessler’ s Therapy
Dr Schuessler determined that these inorganic substances are present in the body of compounds (mineral salts) and named twelve principal compounds which he called “tissue salts”. He defined the types of disease (symptoms) arising from a deficiency of each tissue salt. With this knowledge he was able to prescribe with great accuracy and effect. Dr Schuessler studied the function of each of the twelve tissue salts and was able to define the type of disorder caused by the disturbance of the physiological balance of each tissue salt.
Facial Diagnostic Includes: In depth facial diagnostics skills, interpreting facial signs including lines, shadows and shines, psychological signs, in accordance with the evidence based proven and recognised methods of the German School of Facial Diagnostics.

ALEX SUTTON

Alex Sutton has over 35 years of experience practising the Clinical Science of Biochemic Therapy of Dr Schuessler. Considerable work continues to be dedicated to the intellectually and physically disabled members of the community, Alex has worked in these fields for many years both in Scandinavia, Asia, Australia and Germany.
Alex studied biochemistry both in the United Kingdom and Germany, specializing in the area of “inorganic elements” after working for many years in Germany at the request of the BBD he took up appointment as Chairperson of the Asia Pacific Branch of the BBD.
Alex lectures extensively throughout the world and is highly regarded as one of the foremost experts on the subject of Inorganic Biochemistry and the works of Dr Schuessler. Conducting private clinics throughout the Asia Pacific Region Scandinavia, EU, UK and UAE.
